and engage consumers to amplify and reproduce brand values.

Many branded content is a one-sided message that speaks for the brand's side of the story. It doesn't stray far from the attention-grabbing, one-shot stimulus. 
These provider-oriented speeches cannot move consumers, either. 

 

The narrative of a brand is a larger concept than the creativiry of advertising. 
While good creativity draws attention to your ad with its ingenious ideas, 
a good narrative provides food for thought, making consumers think about 
your brand and connect with it on their own, long after they've seen the content.

Therefore, storytelling is the process design to move the consumers. 
Stories are the raw material that makes the process work.

For example, a process to move food consumers should include a design that enables a natural flow of
 messages across channels addressing pre- and post-meal concerns, along with the creativity to whet
 people's appetites.
